Pari Island : Holiday In Beautiful Land With A Lot Controversy

Around 1st to 3rd March, 2018 me and my classmate have visited Pari Island which located at northen Jakarta.

This Island is a part of Thousand Island (translate : Kepulauan seribu) province. To reach there we need using ferry from Muara Angke’s Dock. From what i hear there is only one ship that drive passenger on morning around 7 a.m than will come back tomorrow from Pari Island for picking up passanger. I don’t expecting there is only a few people there when we aboard, maybe because it isn’t weekend. Take ± 2 hours to reach the island. Lucky me, when all of my friend fall in sleep cause we leave early morning, me and some of my friends saw marlin fish catching his meal. This a lovely welcome from pari island for us honestly. First time i arrived at the dock, i was amused by the clarity of water which is rarely found in big cities, and don’t forget about how clean the street is. I see no garbage on the corner of every path i step on. Hopefully we can do the same in every city in Indonesia.

After arrived at the homestay, we take a free hour to explore the Island.

I shocked there is so many vandalism in almost every wall in there. From what i hear there are companies that want to make this island a private island. Unfortunately i didn’t take a picture from that citizens resistence. Around 4 p.m we going to Pasir Perawan Beach. How cool the view are. The white sand, the wind blows, the coconut trees, the people ...... very rarely sight in town. Ahh, I forget to mention there is many of tabacco seeds and tabbaco trees. The day after we took some snorking around the island. The view under the water is so amazing, also we can feed the fish with bread crumb which make the fish gather around us. We are looking at sunset moment also.

At night we do some game like Werewolf game, volley ball, etc after we eat grilled fish which super delicious.

We leave the Island in afternoon after we hunt the sunrise view in the morning. Unfortunately 2 day in the island i never cacth the good sunrise view cause the is cloud in every single morning. But i still amaze about what have nature give to us. We coming back to city with refreshed mind and a lot of fun memories. Maybe you should come to Pari Island someday.
